Employees of the Company
The success of Swiss Life is based on the skills and engagement of its employees. That is why Swiss Life aims to attract talented people, retain them and continuously support their development.
Information relating to the interests and views of stakeholders as well as material impacts, risks and opportunities and their interaction with the strategy and business model can be found in the “General Information” section.
The Swiss Life Group’s sustainability strategy defines the fields of action relating to material impacts, risks and opportunities. Swiss Life’s People Strategy also defines the ambition and strategic fields of action until 2027 relating to human resources for the entire Swiss Life Group. It takes into account the fields of action relating to its own workforce defined in the sustainability strategy. In the current strategy cycle, the priorities are the professional growth of employees, a culture of continuous development and unlocking technological potential. The Group HR Board, consisting of the divisional Heads of HR and chaired by the Group Head of HR, has joint responsibility for the content of this strategy. Group Functional HR Governance defines how Group HR and the divisional HR departments collaborate. Group Human Resources (GHR) manages and provides support to the divisional HR organisations mainly by defining standards and monitoring governance and intervention as well as by giving strategic advice on how to focus on overarching goals and stipulations. The divisional Heads of HR plan and implement specific measures within the fields of action of the People Strategy. Specific measures relating to material impacts are described in the “Social partnership”, “Training and development”, “Work-life balance” and “Equal treatment and non-discriminatory working environment” sections.
Location-specific occupational safety systems, which cover employees at the respective location, are in place to prevent occupational accidents. These systems define safety objectives, safety rules, training and checks. Employees can find this information on the intranet.
Unless otherwise stated, all policies and measures described in this section apply to the employees of the Swiss Life Group (see “Consolidation” section). The Corporate Executive Board is responsible for implementing the directives of the Swiss Life Group (see “Governance” section).
